BHR CHARITY PARTNER
BHR Charity Partner:
International Justice Mission
Impact Business Law partners with International Justice Mission, the largest anti-slavery organization in the world. IJM’s goal is to end slavery in our lifetime. IJM is working towards this audacious goal by rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors, and strengthening justice systems around the world. In addition to forced labour slavery, which is Impact Business Law’s primary focus, IJM works in the areas of sex trafficking (including the online sexual exploitation of children), general sexual violence against children, citizenship rights abuse, police abuse of power, and land theft.
IJM partners with local authorities in 24 program offices in 14 countries – including Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, Cambodia, India, the Philippines, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Impact Business Law’s founder formerly worked for IJM Canada and is now a member of IJM Canada’s board of directors. She has had the opportunity to see IJM’s work in Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala, Thailand, Cambodia, Kenya, and Rwanda.
